Computer Aided Design (CAD)

The practice is fully equipped with AutoCAD LT. Whilst the computers are widely used and capable of 3D modelling, it is only used when it is felt to be an efficient and timely medium. Traditional drawing boards and sketching skills are still maintained.

Office Procedures

The office works within the framework of a Quality Management Scheme. Procedures are then adapted to suit individual requirements of each job. Special importance is made to comply with set down procedures which are established at the outset of any project with the client team.

Accuracy of record, management, strategy and rigid monitoring of the project ensure that the correct interpretation of the client's brief is maintained and followed by all members of the team. Regular meetings will be governed by procedures set out at the outset.

Professionalism, integrity and business acumen will clearly establish the discipline of the team, leaving spare time for flair and intuition to flourish in a controlled manner.

Technical Library

Kenneth W Reed & Associates subscribe to the RIBA Library Service for its technical library. A librarian visits the office on a monthly basis to index and maintain current literature.

Information held in the library is selected and removed to respond to the changing requirements of the practice, client base, projects in hand and new technology and materials.

A reference library is also kept to contain current reference material.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Professional Indemnity cover is £5 million on an each and every claim basis with policy excess. Insurers are Alexander Forbes. Details of the cover can be provided if necessary.
